Purpose
Cinematic Reality combines photorealistic, medical volume rendering with spatial computing on Apple Vision Pro. Cinematically rendered CT images allowed clinicians to understand patient anatomy more quickly and with a greater degree of accuracy than conventional CT, according to an article recently published online in JAMA Surgery. The app helps to provide a more realistic way of visualizing organs or body parts, making it possible to better explain clinical cases to patients, discuss clinical questions around referrals, or to educate medical students.
Where We See Impact
Combining CT images with spatial computing adds another dimension to the understanding of complex anatomical information and new ways to interact. The app has the potential to become part of a new paradigm in medical education (MedEd) that lets students and practitioners use lab results and procedures more organically.
